Preached by Rev. Jacob Crane on Sunday, April 28th, 2019
How is it, that those who knew Him best, were unable to recognise Jesus when He was raised from the dead? Why weren’t they able to see Him?
It isn’t until Jesus chooses to reveal Himself, to Mary, to the disciples, and to Thomas, that they can see Him and respond.
And like the historical figures of John 20, like Mary, we can seek the Risen Lord, or like the disciples, we can wait confidently, even when fear and doubt surround us.
Listen to an exposition on Belief and Divine Revelation from John 20.19-31, with a brief summary and inclusion of the opening story of Mary from verses one to 18.
