The Cathedral is served by a voluntary adult choir, the members of which represent a wide range of backgrounds and interests.
The main sung services are Choral Eucharist on Sunday mornings at 10.00 and Evensong on the fourth Sunday of every month at 5.30pm. The choir is also involved in many other celebratory services which arise at a Cathedral in the capital city of a State. These include ordinations, and the opening of the legal and parliamentary years.
The repertoire is drawn from the mainstream of Anglican Cathedral music from the 16th to the late 20th centuries. It is perhaps one of our peculiarities that from time to time we sing texts in Latin, German, French and Russian.
