The Friends of St David’s are delighted to present St David’s 51st floral festival – a celebration of community, creativity, flowers and music – that brings many church and community groups together to fill the Cathedral with a bounty of glorious flowers in a flourishing, annual spectacle!

FESTIVAL FEATURES

🌸 Blooming Church Concert: Sunday 10 February, 2:00pm                                      Tickets $15 / $12 concession, available from the door.

🌸 Botanical art exhibition by Botaniko: Celebrating 200 years through Botanical Illustration is Botaniko’s outstanding exhibition for the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens’ 200 year milestone in 2018, reflecting some of its significant botanical specimens.

🌸 Self-guided tours of the windows of St David’s: A guide to the windows of St David’s is available to walk you through the history of the beautiful stained-glass windows within the Cathedral.

🌸 Incidental Music: Enjoy musical performances on the Cathedral organ and piano throughout the festival, with Hobart FM 96.1 broadcasting from 12-2pm Friday and the Cantiamo Ladies Choir performing at 11am Saturday.

🌸 Cathedral Treasures: Discover heritage displays from St David’s archives.

🌸 Refreshments: Tea Rooms in Church House are open Friday and Saturday for light lunches, morning and afternoon teas.

🌸 The Bell Tower: Tours of the Bell Tower will be conducted on Saturday morning, 10am to 12 noon.

The Friends of St David’s have a time-honoured tradition of working together to raise funds for the Cathedral, and have done so in one form or another for over 80 years!  All funds raised by the Friends are used to support the life and ministry of beautiful St David’s Cathedral.
