For the past 50 years St David’s Cathedral has held a Community Floral Festival that has brought church and community groups together to fill the Cathedral with floral arrangements, music and activities for the people of Hobart. The 50th Floral Festival will celebrate this milestone with a three-day event from 9 to 11 February.
The theme for Blooming Church 2018 is DEEP ROOTS in recognition of the Floral Festival’s 50-year history of bringing the community together to share an appreciation of floral art and enjoy the beauty of the Cathedral transformed with a glorious display of bountiful floral arrangements.
DEEP ROOTS focuses this year’s Floral Festival on our deep connections to faith, history, place, community and the natural world.
