Hobart City Band presents their end of year concert: Instinctive Travels. The concert will feature ensembles from all three bands: Hobart Brass Band, Hobart Youth Winds and the Hobart Wind Symphony. The ensembles will be performing world premieres from local composers, along with well known favourites.
Van Diemen’s Band Christmas concert returns featuring some of the most gorgeous Christmas music from throughout the ages, with your best-loved Christmas carols in a family-friendly celebration featuring the young choristers of the TYO Tasmanian Youth Chorale.

oin us for one of the most popular and enduring works for choir, orchestra and soloists – Handel’s masterpiece, “Messiah” performed in the beautiful surroundings of St David’s Cathedral.
Our soloists are Grace Ovens (soprano), Nicholas Tolputt (countertenor), Alexander Rodrigues (tenor) and Michael Lampard (bass-baritone).
Featuring the Argyle Orchestra and Choir, conducted by Thomas Rimes.
No reserved seating. Doors open 6:30pm. Tickets $40 / $35 concession.
Everyone is welcome to come to the Cathedral as we celebrate the birth of Christ.
Bookings are not required but the congregation will need to wear masks for the services.
