It has been a long time since Queen Elizabeth visited St. David’s Cathedral in 1954 but her reign is even longer than that, as on Thursday she will become the longest reigning British Monarch. It is right that we give thanks to God for her service and we will do so at our Book of Common Prayer Communion Service this week. We’d love you to join us.
On St. James Day, 25th July, 2000 the Pastoral Staff of the Bishop of Tasmania was entrusted to John Harrower as the 11th Bishop of Tasmania as a sign of his charge to tend the flock of Christ with love and care.
We will gather on the 12th of September as that Staff is laid down to give thanks to God for the faithful ministry of Bishop John and Gayelene in this State and will we pray that the light, love and life revealed in Jesus Christ which inspires them will continue to build healthy churches transforming life to the glory of God.
We’d love you to come and we’d love you to know you are coming so can have enough refreshments so please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
