Soul Walk: Film Showing – The Way

Sunday, February 10th, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Martin Sheen - The WayAs Soul Walk launches into 2013 we are marking the occasion with a showing of the film The Way starring Martin Sheen and directed by his son Emilio Estevez.

This film is a story that confronts us with our own journey through life, the ruts and paths we find ourselves in.  We are provoked to consider our own choices, meaning, priorities and directions.  This film is therefore an excellent introduction to our 2013 Sunday evening Soul Walk program, a time and place to engage the real world from an exploration of Christian spirituality.

THE WAY is a powerful and inspirational story about family, friends and the challenges we face while navigating this ever-changing and complicated world. Martin Sheen plays Tom, an irascible American doctor who comes to France to deal with the tragic loss of his son… Tom decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage “The Way of St. James” to honor his son’s desire to finish the journey. What Tom doesn’t plan on is the profound impact this trip will have on him…”
